Antique Belgian Gothic Chalice Ref 7526
Antique Belgian Gothic Chalice and Paten with spoon in solid silver gilt.
All pieces are made in solid silver and are gilded throughout. Made by J.V. Damme.
The Cup is engraved with 'Calicem salutaris accipiam et nomen domini invocabo' in Gothic style lettering.
The hexagonal stem has engraving work.
The knop is set with six large purple stones.
The hexafoil petalled base is set with large blue & gold enamels, depicting various Saints, each edged with beading work.
There is a Crucifix to the top edge of one petal.
The base steps down to the bottom, and is finished with more fine beading work.
The matching dish shaped Paten is also made in solid silver gilt. It has a small engraved cross.
Also with this Chalice is an attractive Scruple Spoon with twisted stem and decorative top.
Chalice height 21.5cm. Base diameter 16.5cm. Diameter of top of cup 11cm. Diameter of Paten 14cm. Length of spoon 8cm. Overall weight of Chalice & Paten 941g.
Complete with brand new lined, fitted carrying case.
