English Sterling Silver Chalice & Paten Ref 6697
English Gothic Chalice & Paten in solid sterling silver.
Chalice made in Chester, England, in 1943, by the Silversmith Harold Edwin Landon.
Blending Paten made in London in 1955.
Chalice and Paten are both hallmarked with English sterling silver hallmarks.
The cup is plain and is gilded on the inside, with a hammer-beaten finish to the inside cup.
The circular stem leads to the knop which is finished with decorative work incorporating a fruiting vine.
Rings of fine beading work complete the base of the stem.
The round base is plain, with beading work to the very outer edge.
The blending dish Paten is in solid silver gilt and fits the Chalice well. The Paten is entirely gilded all over.
Chalice height 19cm. Base diameter 11.5cm. Diameter of top of cup 9.5cm. Diameter of Paten 13.5cm. Overall weight of Chalice & Paten 450g.
Complete with brand new lined, fitted carrying case.
