English Sterling Silver Chalice & Paten Ref 6820
English Gothic Chalice & Paten in solid sterling silver.
Chalice made in London, England in 1891 by the Silversmith's G Lambert & Co.
Blending solid silver gilt Paten made in London in 1975 by Vanpoulles Ltd.
Chalice and Paten are both hallmarked with English sterling silver hallmarks, and both bear their respective maker's marks.
The round bowl of the cup is plain, and is gilded inside.
The hexagonal stem leads to the knop, which is finished with either round lozenge buttons.
The stem leads down to the base, which is initially round, and then steps down to eight petals on the outside.
The edge of the petals are finished with fine beading work all round.
The blending dish shaped Paten is in solid silver and is gilded all over. It fits the Chalice well.
Chalice height 20cm. Base diameter 14cm. Diameter of top of cup 9.5 cm. Diameter of Paten 14cm. Overall weight of Chalice & Paten 625g.
Complete with brand new lined, fitted carrying case.
