English Gothic Chalice & Paten in solid sterling silver.
Chalice made by in Birmingham, England in 1904 by the Silversmith F A Barrett
Blending Paten made in Birmingham in 1973 by AE Jones Silversmiths for St Dunstan's Churchcraft.
Chalice and Paten are both hallmarked with English sterling silver hallmarks, and both bear their respective maker's marks.
The cup has a petalled shaped calix finished with Gothic style engraving incoporating Fleur de Lys.
The hexagonal stem is stepped and leads to the decorative knop. The knop has six diamond shaped lozenges, each with a Gothic style flower engraved.
The stem steps down to the hexafoil petalled base.
On one petal of the base is an engraved Gothic style cross. The base has several steps leading down from the petals.
The blending well shaped Paten is in solid silver throughout and fits the Chalice well.
Chalice height 21cm. Base diameter 15cm. Diameter of top of cup 10.5 cm. Diameter of Paten 14.5cm. Overall weight of Chalice & Paten 600g.
Complete with brand new lined, fitted carrying case.
