English Sterling Silver Chalice & Paten Ref 7007
English Gothic Chalice & Paten in solid sterling silver.
Chalice & Paten both made by the London Silversmith's F Osborne & Co Ltd.
Chalice made in London in 1922, with Paten made in London in 1938.
Chalice and Paten are both hallmarked with English sterling silver hallmarks, and both bear the maker's marks.
The cup is plain with a slight hammer-beaten finish.
The hexagonal stem leads to the knop, which is set with six red stones, each set in a diamond shape setting.
The petalled base is an inverted hexafoil shape. It is set with green stones all round, with additional green stones forming a cross on one petal.
The edge of the base is finished with lattice work.
The dish shaped Paten is in solid silver & is gilded throughout. It fits the Chalice well.
Chalice height 20cm. Base diameter 15.5cm. Diameter of top of cup 10cm. Diameter of Paten 15cm. Overall weight of Chalice & Paten 500g.
Complete with brand new lined, fitted carrying case.
