English Sterling Silver Gilt Chalice & Paten Ref 7304
English Gothic Chalice & Paten in solid sterling silver gilt.
Chalice made by the Silversmiths Art & Book Company, in London, England, in 1942.
Blending solid silver gilt Paten made in London in 1910.
Chalice and Paten are both hallmarked with English sterling silver hallmarks, and both bear their respective maker's marks.
The Chalice has a lightly hammer beaten finish throughout.
The cup is plain; the stem has a shaped hexafoil finish, with the decorative knop in the centre.
The hexafoil pointed petalled base has an engraved cross, and decorative engraving to the edge of the base.
The blending dish shaped Paten is in solid silver, gilded all over. It has a Gothic style IHS engraved to the underside. It fits the Chalice well.
Chalice height 19.5cm. Base diameter 15.5cm. Diameter of top of cup 9.5cm. Diameter of Paten 14cm. Overall weight of Chalice & Paten 527g.
Complete with brand new lined, fitted carrying case.
