English Sterling Silver Travelling Chalice & Paten Ref 7410
English Gothic Chalice & Paten in solid sterling silver.
Chalice made by the Silversmiths Joseph, Albert, Horace & Ethelbert Savory, in London, England, in 1884.
Blending solid silver gilt Paten made in London in 1939.
Chalice and Paten are both hallmarked with English sterling silver hallmarks, and both bear their respective maker's marks.
The Chalice has a plain cup, with a hexagonal stem set with a decorative knop.
The hexafoil pointed petalled base has an IHS with cross design to one petal.
The blending dish shaped Paten is in solid silver, gilded all over and it fits the Chalice well.
Chalice height 13cm. Base diameter 8cm. Diameter of top of cup 7.5cm. Diameter of Paten 9cm. Overall weight of Chalice & Paten 228g.
Complete with wooden lined, fitted carrying case.
