English Sterling Silver Chalice & Paten Ref 8473
English Gothic Chalice & Paten in solid sterling silver.
Chalice made by the Silversmiths A Edward Jones Ltd, in Birmingham, England, in 1969.
Blending solid silver gilt Paten made in London in 1920 by Albert John Wilkins.
Chalice and Paten are both hallmarked with English sterling silver hallmarks, and both bear their respective maker's marks.
The Chalice has a small calix decorated with foliate work.
The hexagonal stem has a large knop finished with six diamond shaped lozenges.
The hexafoil base has an engraved cross, and fine beading to the edge.
The blending well shaped Paten is in solid silver, gilded all over. It fits the Chalice well.
Chalice height 19cm. Base diameter 14.5cm. Diameter of top of cup 9.5cm. Diameter of Paten 13.5cm. Overall weight of Chalice & Paten 672g.
Complete with original lined, fitted carrying case.
