English Sterling Silver Gilt Chalice & Paten Ref 8493
English Gothic Chalice & Paten in solid sterling silver.
Chalice made by the Silversmiths Frederick Dendy Wray, in London, England, in 1900.
Blending solid silver gilt Paten made in London in 1988 by Mark William Munson.
Chalice and Paten are both hallmarked with English sterling silver hallmarks, and both bear their respective maker's marks.
The Chalice is engraved round the top in Gothic style lettering with the words 'Calicem salutaris accipiam et nomen domini invocabo'.
The lower edge of the cup is engraved in Gothic Fleur de Lys designs.
The circular is engraved, and the central circular knop is set with six semi-precious red stones.
The circular base is set with numerous stones. There is s large amethyst and several smaller ones, alongside other semi-precious stones.
The blending dish shaped Paten is in solid silver, gilded all over. It has an engraved cross an it fits the Chalice well.
Chalice height 18cm. Base diameter 12cm. Diameter of top of cup 9cm. Diameter of Paten 12.5cm. Overall weight of Chalice & Paten 379g.
Chalice comes complete with brand new lined, fitted carrying case.
