English Ciborium Ref 8542
English Ciborium, with the lid and bowl made in sterling silver.
The Ciborium is gilded throughout, with the gilding in excellent condition.
The lid is surmounted with a 4 sided cross. It is engraved with decorative designs.
The bowl has a ring of engraving round the centre.
The hexagonal stem as a large decorative knop at the centre.
The hexafoil pointed base is finished with further engraving work.
The base steps down with punched work to the bottom step.
Overall Height to top of cross 20cm. Diameter of base 12cm; diameter of top of bowl 9cm; depth of bowl 4cm. Overall weight 380g.
