English Sterling Silver Ciborium Ref 8456
English solid sterling silver Ciborium, made in London in 1958 by Wippell & Co Ltd.
The Ciborium is completely solid silver. It bears the sterling silver hallmark and maker's mark throughout.
The inside of the bowl and lid are gilded.
The Ciborium is finished with a hammer beaten finish throughout.
The lid is surmounted with a cross.
The stem and beaded knop are round, leading to the circular base.
Overall Height to top of cross 19.5cm. Diameter of base 11.5cm; diameter of top of bowl 10.5cm. Overall weight 398g.
