Brass Sunburst Monstrance Ref 7681
Brass Sunburst style Monstrance complete with Pyx & Lunette.
The Monstrance is made in solid brass.
It is surmounted at the top with a small statue of a winged Angel in prayer, supporting the cross at the top.
Round the central Gloria is a frieze of winged Cherubs, with the baroque style rays around.
The stem is circular and is decorative, with rows of beading to finish.
The Monstrance comes with a brass Pyx, with an engraved cross to the front.
The enclosed Lunette is solid sterling silver gilt, with a glass front. It is hallmarked, made by Hayes & Finch of Birmingham in 1963. It fits both the Pyx & Monstrance well.
The Monstrance height is 54cm. The width across the centre part is 27cm & the base is 15cm diameter. The inside of the Gloria measures 9cm. The weight of the Monstrance is 2,200g.
